Spray polyurethane foam is the highest-performing insulation for hard-to-treat areas: rim joists, crawl spaces, basements, flat roofs. Where other insulations let air through, it seals and insulates in a single pass.

Insulation and air barrier in one step

Sprayed polyurethane insulates and seals air at the same time. As it cures, it moulds to every recess, works around wires and pipes, and closes the air leaks that batts and blown insulation can't reach. The result: a continuous envelope, with no thermal bridging or infiltration.

R-6 per inch: performance in the tightest space

At roughly R-6 per inch, high-density polyurethane delivers one of the best R-values on the market — nearly double blown insulation at equal thickness. It's the go-to when space is tight: rim joists, foundation walls, cathedral ceilings. It also acts as an air and vapour barrier, often eliminating a step and a material.

What R-value does spray foam achieve?

Is spray foam safe?

Does spray foam need a thermal barrier?

Yes — the Building Code requires spray foam to be covered with a compliant thermal barrier (drywall or an approved fire-resistant product) in living spaces. We explain it clearly at the quote stage, not after the work.
